Eligibility
  • All ACEC-BC members (in good standing) are encouraged and eligible for entry into the awards competition.
  • Joint submissions involving non-ACEC-BC members are acceptable only if an ACEC-BC member performed more than 50% of the engineering work (for the submitted component).
  • Members may submit a maximum of two entries in any one category, and a maximum of one entry in each of the other categories.
Project Specific Rules
  • Date: Projects where the design and construction elements were completed between January 2022 – January 2023 are eligible.
  • Location: Only projects managed and largely engineered in a BC office are eligible.
  • Client Approval: Client confirmation of dates and approval to submit will be required during submission. Submissions under the Projects Under $2.5 Million category will require verification from the project owner on the total project construction costs.

Project Description

The below content will be shared with the judges AND displayed publicly on acecbcawards.ca.

This is what the Gala host will read out if your project is a winner.

File types allowed: jpg, jpeg, png

Please include a one page letter from the owner of the project giving permission to enter the project into the competition and certifying that the design and construction (or the assignment) was largely completed between January 2022-2023.

If you were not the prime, please include a one page letter from the prime or main consultant on the project giving permission to enter the project into the competition and verifying the role played by the submitting firm (not required if either the owner or the submitting firm is the prime/main consultant).

Part 4: Additional Information

Additional Information (optional)

In addition to content included in Part 3, you may also include a PDF summary package with additional detail. This is limited to a total of 5 pages:

Pages 1-4:
  • Additional info / Summary: this may highlight: project objectives, solutions, achievements, technical excellence, innovation, and important aspects of the project for example sustainability, equity, aesthetics, economic, etc.
  • Page size 8.5x11, minimum font size 12
  • This document may include graphics (photos, tables, etc.) that illustrate the important aspects of the project
Page 5:
  • One drawing easily viewed on a monitor (something that would be legible if printed on 11 x 17 paper).
