This is an exceptional opportunity to join a highly collaborative environment working alongside our team of planning, engineers, and community consultants. You will be responsible for leading a range of stormwater projects and building client relationships in support of our communities.

  • Leading teams to deliver on stormwater approvals for large-scale land development projects through managing project budgets, schedules and resources.
  • Cultivating and nurturing client relationships to build a strong presence in our local land development market.
  • Navigating and connecting with clients, municipalities, sub-consultants and other stakeholders.
  • Communicating through a variety of professional mediums including technical, policy writing, negotiation, and public engagement.
  • Contributing to the development of stormwater policies in the Calgary region through involvement with industry, municipalities, and watershed stakeholder groups.

 

About You

We are in search of someone who wants to grow and use their deep expertise and experience to support our practice to better serve our clients and the people who live in the communities we build. You will get to contribute by working alongside clients, building relationships, delivering on high value projects and supporting the growth of our team members. Our ideal candidate will be a graduate of a Civil or Environmental Engineering program with 8+ years of experience, a stormwater/water resources background in land development and is a P.Eng. in good standing with APEGA or other provincial professional associations regulation engineering practice.

The following skills, strengths and interests would be considered a benefit to this role:

  • Professional expertise – you are versed in all aspects of stormwater management, including master drainage planning, design of stormwater facilities and infrastructure, stormwater analysis and modelling using a variety of SWMM based tools, and technical report writing
  • Relationships matter – you understand what it takes to cultivate relationships to deliver on projects with your team and come alongside clients to support their vision
  • Local context – years of experience in our market in Alberta has given you a thorough understanding of stormwater management principles, regulations and industry operations.
  • Communication – your background demonstrates your skills to connect and communicate with a range of people and through a variety of channels and mediums.
  • Listening – active listening is second nature and you know being present and listening to clients to understand their needs is integral to being in service of others, providing exceptional client service and demonstrating care.
  • Invested in community – you are motivated to be invested in our community, actively contributing and helping others find their highest potential here through coaching and mentoring team members.
