Budget Guidelines for Engineering Services
Document 1 – Transportation & Infrastructure
Developed by ACEC-BC committees under the leadership of the Transportation Committee, this update to the 2015 version supports development of project budgets based on generally accepted practices. This valuable resource offers insight to owners, contractors, and other partners on how project budgets are developed by consulting engineering firms.
“Budget Guidelines for Engineering Services help raise awareness of the work necessary to meet engineering obligations and client needs for a broad range of assignments. This version greatly benefited from collaboration with members across all relevant sectors, some with direct experience evolving the guidelines over the past 20 years.”
Mark Byram, Chair, ACEC-BC Transportation Committee
The guideline was reviewed by Engineers & Geoscientists BC for consistency and alignment with modern regulation and is included as a practice resource for registrants on the regulator’s website.
With this new release, the legacy guideline will be removed from circulation.
