ACEC-BC Members Named as Business in Vancouver’s BC500

Congratulations to ACEC-BC members Brian Yates, Lianna Mah, Angus English, and Larry Spence for being named as Business in Vancouver’s BC500 – a celebration of business leaders who have a notable impact on BC’s communities, industries, and economy.

Brian Yates

VP and Regional Leader, Stantec

Responsible for Stantec’s overall business in BC, Brian has spent his career leading large-scale environmental assessments and consultation efforts for a range of energy, ports, mining, and linear infrastructure clients. His passion? Building great teams and helping them grow and succeed. Brian also serves on the boards of ACEC-BC and Clean Energy BC.

Lianna Mah

VP, Business Development, Associated Engineering

Lianna Mah is vice-president of business development and a member of the board of directors for the Associated group of companies, a Canadian consulting firm with over 1,000 people in 21 offices across Canada. Lianna is the immediate past president of Engineers and Geoscientists BC, the regulatory body for 38,000 engineers and geoscientists in the province.

Angus English

VP, Transportation and Infrastructure, WSP Canada

Angus English is the transportation and infrastructure business line leader for WSP’s BC business, where he leads a team of 200 staff. He is also a senior program and project manager with 35 years of experience in infrastructure revitalization, replacement and upgrading for public- and private-sector clients in Western Canada, South America and Asia. Angus is a past chair of the ACEC-BC Board of Directors.

Larry Spence

Senior Project Manager, Wood

Larry Spence is a Senior Project Manager for Wood and the President of Engineers and Geoscientists BC. He has worked for operating companies, OEM’s, service companies, and consultants throughout the province and earned his Bachelor of Applied Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of British Columbia. He has more than 35 years of experience as an engineer during which he has worked in project management and several other capacities.
