Other areas of focus are business management system development\, project management excellence\, and sustainability. Relevant to this discussion\, he is an Envision Sustainability Professional\, helping clients “deliver the right project right”. \nGabriela Mercado\, Senior Sustainability and Resilience Advisor\, BC Housing\nGabriela is a Senior Sustainability and Resilience Advisor at BC Housing. With over a decade of experience as a senior architect in Mexico\, she honed her skills in integrating sustainable practices into architectural designs. Gabriela holds a Master’s Degree in High Performance Buildings from UBC\, where her passion for sustainability and climate change blossomed. Now\, she is dedicated to implementing sustainable and resilient practices at BC Housing\, aiming to enhance the quality of buildings and improve the lives of tenants while reducing environmental impact. \nRaphael Shay\, Sustainable Development Manager\, Sunshine Coast Regional District\nRaphael is the Sustainable Development Manager at the beautiful Sunshine Coast Regional District. He has worked on entrepreneurial projects and innovative policy in the field of climate\, energy\, and water for the past 20 years. Raphael has a BPhil in Interdisciplinary Leadership Studies from the University of New Brunswick and a Masters in Environment and Management at Royal Roads University. He also enjoys canoeing\, exploring mountains\, and foraging for mushrooms with his family. \nEdwin Guerra Castrejon\, Mechanical Engineer\, Associated Engineering\nEdwin is an Engineer with over fifteen years of experience ranging from consulting\, GHG modeling\, feasibility studies and energy modeling. As an ASHRAE Certified Decarbonization Professional and LEED BD+C accredited professional\, he has a passion for sustainability and a desire to optimize life cycle building performance\, facility maintenance and occupant comfort. Additionally\, Edwin has valuable skills in facilitation\, and data visualization in a variety of sectors in the built environment.
