SUMMARY:Discovering Your Values to Unlock Meaningful Career Growth
DESCRIPTION:Join the ACEC-BC Lower Mainland YPG for an upcoming webinar focused on personal values and career development on Wednesday\, May 12!\n\n\nWe all have a natural inclination to expand\, to realize the highest most truthful expression of ourselves. The greater clarity you have about what really drives you in life\, the greater your competitive advantage in life. This is because your highest values\, what is truly most important to you\, is where you are most spontaneously inspired to go after challenges. Even though we sometimes think we want an easy and comfortable life\, what we really want is a meaningful life. A meaningful life comes from going after challenges that inspire us. The more aligned your career and goals are to what you truly value most\, the more naturally inspired you are to challenge yourself to keep growing and achieving. \nIn this mini-workshop and networking session\, you will gain greater insight into what drives your fellow colleagues in the engineering industry and greater understanding about what drives you. You will be taken through a process to clarify what really makes you tick. You will be able to apply this self-awareness toward building a congruent and meaningful career in which you are internally motivated to keep expanding beyond your comfort zone. \nFormat: Zoom \nAbout the Speaker \nJéan Joubert\, CEO\, The Game of Life Academy \nJéan Joubert is an entrepreneur and a leader in human behaviour. As the founder of The Game of Life Academy\, he consults with entrepreneurs\, CEO’s and businesses\, harnessing their inherent ingenuity to create truly inspired\, productive\, innovative teams and business environments. \nJéan’s career as an entrepreneur started at an early age: he founded his first company\, Pinnacle Properties (Pty) Ltd\, whilst completing his Engineering degree in South Africa. Later Jéan worked at Aurecon\, the largest engineering consultancy in the southern hemisphere before joining the American consulting firm Accenture as a management consultant. \nThrough his journey so far\, Jéan has gained tremendous personal experience of the complexity of entrepreneurship from start-up level through to the challenges involved in growing some of the largest companies in the world. Over the past decade\, Jéan has also developed his knowledge and skills in human behaviour through more than 7000 hours of coaching and has established himself as a leader in the field. Jéan firmly believes in every person’s ability to express their individual genius through sustainable commercial ventures that bring maximum fulfilment to them and contribution to society.
