DESCRIPTION:August 1st\, 2023  |  Kelowna\, BC\n\n\nJoin ACEC-BC’s Young Professionals Group on August 1 for a Breakfast Seminar on “Understanding & Exceeding Your Client’s Expectations”.\n\nGuest speaker James Kay\, P.Eng\, HBA will be providing insights on exceeding clients’ expectations and will cover topics like mapping client-consultant relationships\, clarifying priorities\, needs\, and expectations\, and achieving success in such relationships.  \n \nAbout James:  \nJames Kay clearly has a problem with commitment! He has had a 22-year career as a consulting civil engineer\, during which he has collaborated with six different firms\, three municipalities\, and a private utility. Though all this\, his focus has been consistent—land development for housing and infrastructure. James has taught both accredited term and short courses\, inspiring and guiding others towards a rewarding career in civil engineering. James has contributed to projects across the country and throughout the province\, with a particular fondness for the impact his work has had in the Okanagan. His commitment to service extends beyond his professional capacity\, as he has been actively involved in association boards and finds great satisfaction in giving back to the community. James first became involved with ACEC-BC in 2005 and has since held various positions within the organization\, including serving on the ACEC-BC YPG\, Board\, and the Okanagan Organizing Committee. He appreciates the value that ACEC-BC members provide\, has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience from his involvement with the organization and is dedicated to furthering its mission and assisting its members in any way he can. \n \nAttendance option: In-person in Kelowna \nContinuing Education (CE) Hours: 1 hour \n \nACEC-BC is committed to providing a safe\, harassment-free space for all participants\, speakers\, and event staff.
