DESCRIPTION:Join ACEC-BC’s Young Professionals Group for a career journey discussion featuring ACEC-BC’s Board Chair\, Tanya Sadlo!\n\n\nTanya Sadlo\, LL.B.\, ICD.D\nChair\, ACEC-BC Board of Directors \nExecutive Vice President Internal Operations & General Counsel\, McElhanney \nTanya Sadlo\, LL.B.\, ICD.D\, started at McElhanney in 2007 in the role of Legal Counsel\, assumed the role of General Counsel and Corporate Secretary in 2013\, and became Executive Vice President\, Internal Operations and General Counsel in April 2019. Prior to joining McElhanney\, she was an associate in the commercial real estate group at Blake\, Cassels & Graydon LLP. Tanya is passionate about building inclusive workplaces within consulting and showcasing the incredible contributions made by the consulting engineering industry and its many STEM professionals. \nAt McElhanney as Executive Vice President\, Internal Operations\, Tanya oversees the Human Resources\, Legal & Shareholding\, Health\, Safety & Environment\, and Marketing & Communications Teams and works closely with the leaders of Business Information Technology\, Finance & Accounting\, and Business Management Systems to ensure effective and efficient corporate services for McElhanney and its subsidiaries. She is also the executive liaison for the Women at McElhanney\, Equity\, Diversity and Inclusion\, and Administrative Advisory Committees and is an active member on a number of McElhanney committees and task forces. As Corporate Secretary of all McElhanney companies\, she has notable expertise in corporate governance. She is also a director of McElhanney companies. Outside of McElhanney and ACEC-BC\, Tanya is a founding member of the Vancouver chapters of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW) and the Women’s Infrastructure Network (WIN)\, and a member of the Employment\, Construction\, Corporate Counsel and Business subsections of the Canadian Bar Association. Tanya volunteers extensively in the community\, primarily for causes related to her children’s extra-curricular activities\, support for women\, and healthcare. \n \nACEC-BC is committed to providing a safe\, harassment-free space for all participants\, speakers\, and event staff.
